Dr. Yvonne Olando (Kenya)

Dr. Yvonne Olando over 15 years consolidated experience in the substance use prevention and management sector. She is a Clinical Psychologist and a Certified International Addiction Professional (ICAP IV). She is a Tobacco Cessation Specialist (CTTS-MAYO, USA), Global Drug Demand Reduction Trainer (UNODC) and Global Master Trainer, Universal Treatment Curriculum (Colombo Plan). She is an expert group member of the World Heart Federation Nicotine, Tobacco, Alcohol and Drugs, and Commissioner at the Global Commission on Credentialing and Accreditation at the International Consortium of Universities for Drug Demand Reduction (ICUDDR). She was ISSUP – Kenya Chapter’s first Secretary.

Dr. Olando holds a Doctorate Degree and MSc in Clinical Psychology from the University of Nairobi, and a Bachelors in Psychology from Moi University. She also holds a graduate certificate in Global Tobacco Control from John Hopkins School of Public Health, Bloomberg (USA), and a Diploma in Chemical Dependency studies from Support for Addictions Prevention and Treatment in Africa (SAPTA).

She is the PTACC Africa lead and ID&D Co-chair. She is also the Director in charge of Public Education and Advocacy at the National Authority for the Campaign against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA).

Jason Kew (United Kingdom – England)

Jason Kew is a former Senior Police Leader and Drug Strategy Lead in Thames Valley Police, and UK Home Office. With an extensive career in Policing and Health, he has led the development of pre-arrest drug diversion schemes. Now, with the Centre for Justice Innovation, he works with a variety of international organisations, and the UNODC, helping implement innovative harm reduction and social justice strategies. Jason is a guest lecturer at the University of South Wales and Queen Mary’s St Bartholomew’s.

Isaac Adobah-Thompson (Ghana)
International Leadership Council (ILC)

Isaac Adobah-Thompson is a seasoned professional with sixteen (16) years of profession work experience in the fields of Banking (Treasury), Security (Anti-Drugs Enforcement) and Social work. He is the Officer-In-Charge (Head) of the Research and Reports Department of Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC), Ghana.  He is driven by a personal philosophy is in serving others, providing for family and making the most of every opportunity that comes his way. Professionally, Isaac is committed to expanding his expertise, contributing to society and continually learning new skills.

Isaac holds a paramilitary training background and is a certified Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) practitioner. His academic credentials include ongoing PhD studies in International Security and Intelligence, Master’s degree in Security and Justice Administration and Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Mathematics. This blend of academic achievements highlights Isaac’s diverse skill set and commitment to personal and professional growth.

Isaac is a team-oriented individual who brings positive energy to the workplace, motivating others to strive for excellence. His family, including his wife and two sons, serves as a source of inspiration. Outside of work, Isaac enjoys soccer and appreciates music.

Sarah Felix Ndaba (Tanzania)

Senior Social Welfare Officer
Drug Control and enforcement Authority – Tanzania

She is a passionate, hard-working, honest and professional Social Welfare Officer who has the necessary skills, qualities and experience to perform to the standards needed within the role.

She has 6 years’ experience on supervising and mobilizing of Civil Society Organizations and communities at large for engagement in drug prevention, treatment and rehabilitation services, supervising development and implementation of interventions targeting reduction of stigma and discrimination against people with substance disorders also establishing linkage with international Organizations to solicit support for CSO’s and other stakeholders working in the area of drug problem.

She is a Member of the National Committee for Coordinating the interventions for Children living and working on the Streets.

Yulia Paskevska (Ukraine)
International Leadership Council (ILC)

She has a PhD in psychology, she’s a professor, National consultant of Council of Europe, Adviser of Minister of justice of Ukraine, Scientific Researcher of Université Libre de Bruxelles, Head of NGO – Association expert of psychological help. She also works at the Prosecutor General’s office of Ukraine as the Adviser of the sectoral working group on the support of the Prosecutor General’s office and defence organizations.

She was the Head of the Mental Health Human Rights Monitoring Division of the Centre for Mental Health and Monitoring of Drugs and Alcohol of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the Professor Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine, State Security Department and the National leader WHO Regional Office for Europe in recovery and human rights in Ukraine, Vice Deputy of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council of the 7th convocation.

She is the Author of more than 130 scientific and methodological monographs and 15 manuals in psychology. She has over 20 years teaching in higher education institutions, researcher, and member editorial board of science publishing group of American journals of applied psychology.
